Welcome to Richmond upon Thames LINk
What is Richmond upon Thames LINk?
Richmond upon Thames LINk is one of 150 similar networks that are being developed nationally to monitor, evaluate and positively influence the way that health and social care services are provided for local residents.
LINks have replaced the former Patient and Public Involvement Forums and are very different. LINks have a much wider remit which will include social care as well as health services. The Richmond upon Thames LINk has administrative support provided by Richmond Council for Voluntary Service.
The network is made up of local people and local groups who volunteer to help influence how health and social care services are both planned and delivered to people living in Richmond upon Thames. The role of the LINk is to find out what people like and dislike about local services and work with the people who plan and run them to help make them better. Richmond LINk is governed by a Steering Committee which decides how the LINk operates and what work it does. The next Steering Committee elections will take place at the AGM in October 2009.
