Richmond LINk Working Groups:
The Engagement Group is one of our LINk’s most influential working groups. Chaired by Bonnie Green, it has both a reactive and proactive role to engaging with the community.
Its reactive role is to review all the issues/concerns that we receive from individuals and groups that have been raised or reported to us about health and social care services provision for Richmond people. The working group members considers each report and, decides whether or not it’s an appropriate issue for Richmond LINk to be dealing with, for example, it might be something that is better dealt with by a PALS officer or it may be outside the scope of LINk activity. In these cases, signposting to other organisations would be suggested. A subject may need further investigating and some research will be undertaken to identify whether the LINk needs to take further action. The final stage would be for the Engagement Group to recommend to the Steering Committee that a project group be established to investigate the particular service and produce a report for eventual discussion with the commissioner or provider of the particular service. The proactive role of the Engagement Group is to plan and carry out a programme of engagement and outreach with groups and organisations representing particular communities in Richmond.
