Your Voice into Action - We want to hear about your experiences of hospital care.
|
There's been a lot of media coverage recently about the standards of care in hospitals and whether the arrangements for checking such standards are rigorous enough. One of the roles of Richmond LINk is to feed back the experiences of our population about their health care - and social care in the future - to the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to help them as the regulator of health and social care services in England make a good assessment of local services.
We want you to tell us your experiences of health care during 2009 provided in a hospital setting to build a picture of what is good, and not so good about health care locally. Your views and experiences will help us to help the CQC to spot problems with local services and decide if the safety and quality of a service is up to scratch but we can only have until the end of January to pass on your experiences of hospital services. We will be collecting your views on Social Care separately before the end of March. To protect your privacy we will not pass on any personal information like your name or address or any information that could identify you but we do need to know the name of the hospital where the care took place during 2009. There are two areas about which we want to hear about from you:
Quality of care: Discharge from hospital: please let us have your experience, either your own personal experience, that of a family member or someone for whom you are the main carer, of how the discharge was handled and any subsequent referral to rehabilitation, out patient or community services.Tell us about your experience or the experience of some one close to you by completing our short, confidential online survey click here Please note: we do not have the power to deal with complaints. We encourage you to report any complaints to the Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) office of the service provider you are unhappy with or to the Independent Complaints Advisory Service (ICAS) on 0845 337 3061.
